Charges Youths on Hard Work and Resilience
The Proprietor of Radio Oroki and Chief Executive Officer of De-Moon Media Links, Mr. Mukhtar Ajelogbon, has been honoured with an Award of Appreciation by the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Chapter, in recognition of his unwavering support for student development and youth empowerment.
Ajelogbon received the award for inspiring a generation of young leaders and supporting the vision of NEXGEN Leadership Summit 2026, organised by the association under the theme, “The Future in Our Hands: Equipping Young People with Media Skills for Governance, Leadership and Social Impact”, where he also served as one of the keynote speakers at the event.
Addressing participants at the summit, Ajelogbon urged students and young people to embrace hard work, remain resilient in the face of challenges, and stay committed to their goals.
He encouraged the youths to identify their strengths, build on them consistently, and strive to become known for something meaningful in their chosen fields.
According to him, success is not achieved overnight but through dedication, continuous self-improvement, and the determination to keep moving forward despite setbacks.
Presenting the award, an OAU lecturer, J.M. Etebom Ph.D, FPCA, commended Ajelogbon for his invaluable contributions to youth development and his commitment to mentoring young people. He described the media entrepreneur as a worthy role model whose guidance and support have positively impacted many students.
Dr. Etebom expressed the association’s appreciation for Ajelogbon’s willingness to share his knowledge and experience with the younger generation, noting that his contributions align with the vision of raising future leaders equipped to make meaningful contributions to society.
The summit brought together students, youth leaders, media professionals, and other distinguished guests to discuss leadership, governance, media, and social impact, while inspiring participants to become agents of positive change in their communities.
