The Osun State Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda and former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Oluomo Sunday Akere, has conveyed a message of reassurance and optimism from the Presidency, urging residents of Osun State to remain confident in Nigeria’s future.

Akere delivered the message on Tuesday in Osogbo during an interaction with journalists after his appearance on a popular Yoruba podcast, LÉRÒ T’ÈMI, hosted by Mukhtar Ajelogbon. During the engagement, he extended New Year goodwill to the people of the state, describing 2026 as a year of renewed opportunities and improving national prospects.

According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deeply appreciates the support of Nigerians and remains unwavering in his commitment to repositioning the country across critical sectors, including the economy, social development, governance, and national security.

“As the Renewed Hope Ambassador in Osun State, the message from Mr President is one of gratitude and encouragement. Nigerians should not lose hope,” Akere said. “The President and his administration are fully determined to build a better country for all of us—economically, socially, politically, and in terms of security.”

He noted that early indicators of positive transformation are already emerging, particularly in Nigeria’s renewed acceptance and credibility among global economic and political stakeholders.

Akere disclosed that international partners are demonstrating increased interest in Nigeria, with several economic powers expressing readiness to invest in businesses and key sectors of the economy.

“We can clearly see a shift from the past. Global powers are willing to engage with us, investors are returning, and industries that were previously dormant are beginning to revive,” he stated.

Expressing strong optimism about the year ahead, the Renewed Hope ambassador said 2026 would deliver tangible improvements in the living conditions of Nigerians, adding that Osun State and the nation at large would continue to record progress in security, safety, and economic growth.

“This year will undoubtedly be better. Osun State and Nigeria will continue to enjoy stability, improved security, and expanding economic opportunities,” Akere assured.
