The Olowu of Kuta, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, CON, has congratulated Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on his victory in the Osun State governorship election, urging him to use his renewed mandate to promote inclusive governance and accelerate development across the state.
In a congratulatory statement issued from his palace, Oba Oyelude commended Governor Adeleke for securing the renewed confidence of the people of Osun State, describing the mandate as an opportunity to consolidate the gains of his administration and address areas requiring greater attention.
The traditional ruler urged the governor to approach the victory with magnanimity, calling for an inclusive administration that would unite the people of Osun and accommodate diverse interests irrespective of political affiliations or differences.
The Olowu of Kuta also reminded Governor Adeleke of the commitments contained in his victory speech, urging him to translate those promises into concrete programmes and actions that would have a direct and lasting impact on the people.
He specifically charged the governor to “hit the ground running” as he begins his second term, stressing the need to consolidate ongoing development initiatives and ensure that projects already commenced across the state receive sustained attention and are completed.
Oba Oyelude further called on Governor Adeleke to place greater emphasis on rural development during his second tenure. According to the monarch, while several urban areas have benefited significantly from the administration’s first term, greater attention should now be directed towards rural communities and their development needs.
The Olowu urged the governor to vigorously reinforce his people-oriented policies, which he said had earned him the support and affection of many residents across Osun State.
Beyond infrastructure and development, the traditional ruler also called for stronger attention to security and the general welfare of the people, noting that peace and safety remain essential to meaningful economic and social development.
Oba Oyelude expressed confidence that Governor Adeleke’s renewed mandate would provide an opportunity for the administration to consolidate its achievements, improve on areas where more work is required and implement policies capable of delivering tangible benefits to residents across the state.
