Alhaji Muniru Raji Adebayo, Special Adviser to His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, on Political Matters, has felicitated with the good people of Osun State, particularly the Muslim Ummah in Osogbo and across the State, as well as His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke, on the auspicious commencement of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.

In a statement issued today, Alhaji Muniru Raji Adebayo described Ramadan as a blessed period of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, compassion, and devotion to Allah (SWT). He congratulated all Muslims who have been granted the privilege to witness this sacred month, praying that Almighty Allah accepts their fasts, supplications, and acts of worship.

The Special Adviser offered fervent prayers for enduring peace and stability across Nigeria, urging all citizens to embrace the spirit of unity, tolerance, and brotherliness that Ramadan promotes. He also prayed for the continued development and progress of Osun State under the purposeful leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, whose administration remains committed to delivering good governance, infrastructure renewal, and improved welfare for the people.

In a gesture of interfaith harmony and goodwill, Alhaji Muniru Raji Adebayo also rejoices with the Christian community in Osun State and beyond on the commencement of the 2026 Lenten season, which begins today on Ash Wednesday. He acknowledges this sacred period of prayer, fasting, repentance, and spiritual reflection as a shared moment of devotion to God, and prays that both the Lenten observances and the Ramadan fasts foster greater unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians regardless of faith.

While rejoicing in the arrival of Ramadan, Alhaji Muniru Raji Adebayo cautioned the Muslim faithful against all forms of evil deeds during this holy month. He reminded them that Ramadan is a time for heightened Taqwa, urging Muslims to shun sins, backbiting, falsehood, injustice, and any actions that contravene the teachings of Islam.

He further enjoined muslims to allow the profound lessons of Ramadan, such as patience, empathy, charity, and moral uprightness to extend beyond the month and continue to guide their deen and worldly matters throughout the year. By so doing, believers can foster personal growth, harmonious communities, and a more righteous society.

Alhaji Muniru Raji Adebayo prayed that this Ramadan brings abundant blessings, forgiveness of sins, answered prayers, good health, and prosperity to all Muslims in Osun State, Nigeria, and the world at large. May Allah (SWT) grant us the strength to observe the fast with sincerity and accept our Ibadah.
