Ahead of the 2027 general election, four political support groups championing the presidential aspiration of Dr. Gbenga Hashim have renewed their commitment in Kano, pledging to upscale grassroots mobilisation to drive his emergence as Nigeria’s next president.

The groups, which held separate consultations before converging for a joint strategic session, declared an end to transactional political engagement, vowing not to support leaders who exploit loyalists as mere vehicles to power and subsequently disengage from them.

They expressed unwavering confidence in Dr. Hashim’s leadership credentials, asserting that his presidency would reposition Nigeria on a trajectory of sustainable development, national cohesion, and long-term stability.

The groups in attendance included the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, led by Hajiya A’isha Mustapha; the Gbenga Hashim Group, coordinated by Miko Isyaku; the Gbenga Hashim Support Group, under Khalifa Muhammad; and the Gbenga Hashim Vanguard.

During deliberations, the groups unanimously passed votes of confidence on Dr. Hashim and called on members to re-engage at the community level, strengthening mobilisation structures across wards and local government areas.

Speaking on behalf of the Solidarity Movement, National Coordinator Abdulrazaq Hamza commended supporters for their steadfast commitment, describing Dr. Hashim as a highly prepared and competent leader with a proven global advisory footprint in economic growth and development.
He noted that Dr. Hashim’s international experience and reform-oriented mindset position him to deliver the quality of leadership Nigerians are demanding in 2027.

Also addressing the gathering, North West Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Vanguard, Aminu Bala, emphasised the importance of inclusiveness, urging support groups to embrace Nigerians across party affiliations in order to broaden the aspirant’s national appeal.

Bala highlighted Kano’s strategic political relevance, describing the state as a pivotal force whose alignment could catalyse wider regional and national support for Dr. Hashim’s candidacy.
In his remarks, Chief of Staff to Dr. Hashim, Mr. Kamaldeen Sani Adebayo, underscored the aspirant’s credentials as a successful global entrepreneur with business interests spanning Nigeria and several other countries, describing this as a strong qualification for the presidency.

He conveyed Dr. Hashim’s goodwill message to supporters and assured them of sustained engagement and loyalty, stressing that they would not be sidelined should he emerge as the democratically elected President of Nigeria.

The Kano State Coordinator of the Solidarity Movement, Hajiya A’isha Mustapha, charged coordinators across all local government areas to intensify mobilisation efforts and consolidate grassroots structures ahead of 2027.

The convergence concluded with goodwill messages from leaders of the various groups, all reaffirming their collective resolve to work in synergy to actualise Dr. Gbenga Hashim’s presidential ambition.
