…Hashim’s campaign posters emerge across Jigawa as supporters intensify mobilisation amid reports of a possible ‘Tinubu Must Go’ rally.

Political activities surrounding the 2027 presidential election are gathering momentum in Jigawa State, with supporters of Accord Party presidential candidate, Dr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, stepping up grassroots mobilisation and increasing his campaign visibility across the state.

Campaign posters bearing Hashim’s image have reportedly appeared in Dutse and other parts of Jigawa, while discussions about a possible “Tinubu Must Go” rally are adding to the growing political atmosphere ahead of the election.

The latest mobilisation drive follows a stakeholders’ engagement in Dutse, where leaders of various support groups met to discuss strategies for expanding Hashim’s political base and strengthening the Accord Party’s presence in the state.

Speaking with journalists after the engagement, Accord senatorial candidate, Comrade Aminu Aminu, expressed confidence in Hashim’s chances, declaring that the Accord presidential candidate could defeat incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Jigawa State in the 2027 election.

Aminu’s declaration reflects the optimism among Hashim’s supporters, who believe that sustained grassroots campaigns, stronger coordination among support groups and direct engagement with voters could improve the party’s electoral prospects in the state.

The Jigawa mobilisation is part of a wider campaign strategy aimed at building support for Hashim across the North-West geopolitical zone.

Aminu, who also coordinates the Hashim Progressive Movement (HPM), has announced a target of mobilising at least six million votes for the Accord presidential candidate across the region’s seven states.

The target covers Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara, with the movement expected to intensify its grassroots activities and coordinate support groups across the region.

The campaign strategy, according to the mobilisation drive outlined by Aminu, centres on expanding local structures, engaging community stakeholders and taking Hashim’s political message directly to potential voters.

Meanwhile, the reported appearance of Hashim’s campaign posters in Dutse and other parts of Jigawa is adding visibility to his presidential ambition.

Supporters regard the campaign materials as part of efforts to move beyond political meetings and establish a stronger presence within communities across the state.

The reported possibility of a “Tinubu Must Go” rally has also attracted attention, although details about its organisers, proposed date and venue were not provided.

With stakeholders’ consultations taking place, campaign materials appearing in public spaces and ambitious regional vote targets being announced, Hashim’s supporters are working to build a coordinated political challenge in the North-West ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

However, the extent to which these mobilisation efforts will translate into votes remains to be seen as the political contest develops.
