Chairman civil Society matters committee (TICC) who also doubles as the Chairman civil Society matters committee, Mr. Funmiso Babarinde has disclosed that all the political groups associated with All progressive Congress will not be with political Party and it’s candidate election bid before August 15 election
Mr. Funmiso who is SSA to governor Ademola Adeleke made the shocking statement on Tuesday 23rd June, 2026 while featuring on Osun Online Publishers Association Media Parley Themed Exploring Politics, Governance and Representation ahead of August 15 Governorship Election.
He stated while responding to a question asking whether former PD/Accord members who have defected to APC would pose threat to Governor Adeleke’s reelection bid
Mr. Funmiso responded that criteria for winning an election are Personality, the People and what you have done, he noted the factors mentioned are working in favor of Governor Ademola Adeleke who currently seeks reelection under Accord Party in for Osun Governorship seat.
He stated “Bookmark this, Anybody you see claiming to be APC member in Osun State before August 15 Governorship Election would be Ileri Oluwa caucus member”
Mr. Funmiso Babarinde questions the relevancy of the defectors such as Wole Oke, Fadahunsi, Ajagunla, Sanya Omirin whom he described as Technocrat in Business and professional in politics who doesn’t know nitty gritty of the deep politics the way politicians do.
He therefore urged the Accord party members to remain solidly behind Adeleke’s reelection bid and settle all grievances amicably because it is better to fight in government house than to fight outside.
The Tension and begin to accumulate as the atmosphere becomes tensed due to Alleged political things clashes in some part of the state ahead of August 15 election.
