The Accord Party in Osun State has officially announced Governor Ademola Adeleke as its flagbearer for the 2026 gubernatorial election, following a smooth and orderly primary election conducted today.

The exercise commenced at exactly 10:00 a.m. at the OASIS Event Centre in Agunbelewo, Osogbo, with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on ground from the commission’s Abuja headquarters to oversee the process.

Delegates representing all local government areas arrived early for the event, which party leaders described as a significant milestone in Accord’s political growth within the state.

The primary election committee reiterated its dedication to fairness and adherence to due process, noting that the Accord Party continues to uphold one of the most progressive and visionary manifestos in Nigeria.

Party officials urged delegates to remain disciplined and maintain Osun’s standing as Accord’s strongest political base nationwide.

INEC officials monitored the entire procedure from accreditation to the final vote count.

A total of 150 delegates were accredited, with 145 valid votes cast and five votes declared invalid.

Governor Ademola Adeleke received overwhelming support from the delegates, securing his nomination as the Accord Party’s governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election.
