The Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has elected a new set of leaders following its Ward Congress held on 8 December 2025 at the party’s state secretariat in Osogbo. The exercise attracted stakeholders from across the state and marked a major step toward strengthening the party ahead of upcoming political engagements.

The congress covered all tiers of the party structure, including Ward, Local Government, and State levels. Delegates from various constituencies affirmed that the outcomes reflected the collective will of NNPP members across Osun State.

At the end of the exercise, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi emerged once again as the Osun State Chairman of the NNPP. His re-election, according to party stakeholders, is attributed to his resilience, administrative consistency, and unwavering commitment to the party’s overall growth.

Reacting to the development, the NNPP Deputy National Women Leader, Hon. Solape Olatubosun who hails from Osogbo Local Government of Osun State, congratulated Dr. Odeyemi on his renewed mandate. She noted that his leadership qualities over the years have made the NNPP a formidable force in Osun politics.

Hon. Solape also congratulated the newly elected executives who will work with the chairman, commending the seamless conduct of the congress and the unity displayed by members throughout the process.

She emphasized that Dr. Odeyemi’s re-election is a reflection of members’ trust in his ability to steer the party toward greater relevance. According to her, his leadership style has transformed the NNPP into a party “to behold” within the state.

The Deputy National Women Leader further urged the new executives to remain loyal, hardworking, and disciplined. She encouraged them to promote unity and stay committed to the development of the party and the welfare of its members, stressing that sustained teamwork and strategic focus will position the NNPP strongly in future electoral contests.
