The Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo Federal Constituency, have mourned the demise of the late Owa of Igbajo, Oba Philip Adegbogbega Famodun III.
In a condolence message signed by the Chairman of APC , Osogbo Federal Constituency, Her Excellency, Otunba Títí Tomori-Ponnle on Sunday in Osogbo, the progressive elders condoled the deceased’s immediate family, Igbajo royal family, Osun Council of Obas and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun state.
The release described the death of Oba Famodun who was the former State Chairman of the party, as a great loss to all and sundry.
“We received the news of the death of our revered Kabiyesi and elder statesman, late Owa of Igbajo, Oba Philip Adegboyega Famodun with a rude shock. Kabiyesi was an epitome of royalty, discipline, character and integrity who lived a life of topmost sincerity.
“We pray to God Almighty to console and grant the family the fortitude and strength to bear the irreplaceable loss”, the release prayed.
Late Oba Famodun passed away on Friday after a brief illness but the news of his death was officially announced on Sunday by his family, Gbeleru Royal Family of Igbajo.
