The Excel Assembly Foundation (EAF) has successfully concluded its 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 9th Convention, held over the weekend in Ede, Osun State. The three-day event, which began on Friday, 21st November 2025, featured a series of community-focused initiatives, leadership engagements, and social activities that highlighted the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to service and development.
The convention opened with the Back to School Project, an outreach designed to support young learners in underserved communities. Over 100 students from five schools in Ede received school bags, sandals, socks, notebooks, and other essential writing materials.
Following the outreach, members joined the Timi of Ede Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal (Laminisa I), for the Jumu’ah prayer at the Central Mosque. An official courtesy visit to the palace took place thereafter, during which the monarch commended the Foundation for its continued efforts in giving back to the community. He expressed his appreciation for the positive impact of EAF’s initiatives and offered prayers for the success, progress, and unity of the Foundation’s leadership and members.
The day concluded with a lively Welcome Party and Movie Night, where members relax, bond and settled into the convention atmosphere.
Activities resumed on Saturday morning with a round of sporting exercises aimed at promoting wellness among members. Delegates then proceeded to the palace for a Medical Outreach, where over 100 residents of Ede benefited from free medical consultations and treatments. This outreach was conducted in partnership with the Benson Adeyemi Foundation, reinforcing the value of collaboration in community service.
The AGM proper took place later in the day, focusing on organisational reviews, deliberations, and future projections. The convention reached its peak during the Dinner and Inauguration Night, which featured the formal installation of the newly elected Premier of the Excel Assembly Foundation. Guests were entertained by Sabiko and his band, while a variety of meals and refreshments added colour to the celebratory atmosphere.
This year’s AGM and Convention have been described as memorable, impactful, and well-coordinated, combining community impact with strategic dialogue and cultural engagement. The Excel Assembly Foundation continues to reinforce its vision of fostering leadership, empowering youths, and contributing meaningfully to society.
