Nigerians have been charged to imbibe the culture of praying for leadership in order for them to match up the expectations at the right time.
A Nigerian Bishop, Mike Bamidele of the Victory Life Ministry International made this call on Monday Osogbo at the 2025 Pentecost Day.
According to the Bishop who addressed journalists at the event held at Government Technical College, Osogbo, Nigerians need more relaxing policy that will be of benefit to the masses rather within agencies and organizations.
According to him, “On a day like this let’s keep our hope in God alive, man will always fail. This is my message to every Nigerian and everyone on the earth, put your trust in God, trusting man, government and people may be disappointing.
Lamenting the economic hardship confronting Nigerians , Bishop Bamidele said “in our country today expectations appear dashed, hopes appear blown off, needs are increasing, stress is increasing.”
He, however, called on Governor Ademola Adeleke led-government to consider the declaration of Pentecost Day a public holiday.
“First of all, declare it a public holiday in Osun state as a pace-setting state and in Nigeria because you will accentuate the task for the spirit of love,” Bamidele concluded.
