Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has warned serving corps members against violating dress codes of the scheme.
The NYSC Director gave the warning on Wednesday night while addressing this year’s Batch “C” Stream 1 corps members at the Katsina orientation camps of the scheme, he stated that failure to dress properly in approved NYSC kits would attract punishments from the management.
He further urged the corps members clearly to always dress properly in their NYSC kits to avoid embarrassment.
He said “I have mandated all the workers of the NYSC to watch and monitor the corps members anywhere they go. Anyone who fails to use the kits appropriately should be made to surrender the uniform.
“Also, you must desist from posting anything on camp activities on the social media,” Ahmed noted.
The NYSC boss equally urged the corps members to secure their future in the face of unemployment in the country by keying into the scheme’s Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED).
He urged the corps members to serve with the spirit of patriotism, loyalty, and commitment by putting Nigeria first before all other things.
Brig. Gen. Ahmed also advised corps members to avoid night journeys, social vices, and partisan politics.
Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, the Katsina State NYSC Coordinator, assured the director general of the corps members discipline and obedient to the rules and regulations camp.
B. General Ahmed inaugurated the newly constructed quarter guard and inspected the quarter guard mounted by the Batch “C” Stream 1 corps members.
